Role in the party!
Ok, no promises mind you. Especially with the increased security. However, we've got a pass that allows us in to the VW set, and we'll be there the whole week. ;) I'll show a pic here, but the 'clever' people beware, they're specially coded to ensure no forgeries. ;) I'm counting on the photos while inside, but will, if nothing else, be able to bring a great set report for everyone. So stay tuned.....

Thanks to Leavesden on that. ;)

We Have a Director!
Well, it's finally happened! We can officially say that Yates WILL be our director for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In This is Wiltshire, he was reported to say the following:
Now he has been picked to direct the fifth Harry Potter film, with shooting due to start late next year for release in 2007.
David said: "I will be directing the film but there are a few more details to be finalised on the deal over the next week."

New Set Report
We've a new set report, thanks to Kaye-Louise Harvey.
This one comes from the VW location, where they've gone back to filming.
And where IF you can get lucky enough to snap a picture, you can find our Moody.
Stop by the Set Reports GoF page to view what she had to report.
A Magical Tour
A MAGICAL mystery bus tour with a difference pulled up in Liverpool last week (Nov 26).
The amazing Knight Bus - a physics-defying triple-decker which whisks boy wizard Harry Potter to London in JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - stopped off at the Albert Dock, to the amazement of passers-by.
The Knight Bus travels at break-neck speed and can only normally be stopped by stranded witches and wizards who flag it down with their wand arm, and is invisible to muggles - non-magical people. But it is currently touring the country promoting the release of the Prisoner of Azkaban movie on DVD.
And when the purple bus arrives, all lights blazing, does arrive it certainly turns heads.
American sisters Petra, eight, and six-year-old Oaklea Elfstrom jumped at the chance of taking the wheel.
Below are some photos of the Knight Bus making its' rounds.

MTV's TRL tomorrow
Total Request Live's (TRL) Goblet of Fire segment will be on tomorrow November 29, at 5 PM on MTV.
So far no one seems to know exactly what will be aired (IF anything will be aired, if anyone recalls the first time it was supposed to air, they cancelled), but it is supposed to be based on a lucky winner who got to visit the Goblet of Fire set. Here's to hoping for some great pics and interviews! ;)

News Flash!!
Ha! Anyhow, to any HP4U readers, I just wanted to give a little update on the whys to as why we here at HP4U do not, and Will not put up any information about 'release dates' of the next coming Harry Potter book.
The reasoning why? Cause there isn't a ONE person out there (including Mrs. Rowling) who knows When the book will be finished. :D
To say different, is mere speculation, and rising the hopes of everyone over the books' release. No publishers know the date.
No book stores know the date, and the Lawyers and WB, and any other grand people know the date of its' release. Why?
Perhaps because she's not done Writing the book yet. And she's not quite sure when it will be ready.
Now, I'm sure everyone about is going crazy hoping desperately for any information on the upcoming book. I know I am.
But IF and WHEN the information comes out? The only place you can count on to be accurate for a release date, will be Rowlings' site itself. She has told us, that if it's related to her or her books, the only place that you can be sure it's not rumor, is if it's at her site. She's even had to create the one section to dispell the many, Many ridiculous rumors that are printed about her and/or her characters/and books.
SO! Once Mrs. Rowling puts it out on her site, the date her sixth book will come out, we will be sure to put it in here.
Ok! Sorry on the rambling. I just wanted all to know we're not 'missing' something in not reporting all this crap about some
'NEW' source giving info on the date. It's just all gibberish.
To keep an eye out for yourself on the TRUTH of the world of HP, please be sure to check out J.K. Rowling's Site

Devon speaks on the Lake scene
Devon updates his diary/blog, comments on the filming of GoF.
Here's what he had to say on his site about it:

Events on November, 26th 2004!

Hi Guys Hi guys, Sorry if you thought that my last update was a bit hard.I am not angry with anyone & neither should any of you be either. There just have to be rules or else I will never get time to do anything else but edit messages. Thank you all for the Birthday wishes, letters & presents. I was actually working on my Birthday but still managed to have a good time with friends on set as well as at home at the weekend. My parents gave me a surprise present at the studio - A set of golf clubs - I'm not very good at the game yet but Rupert, James & Oliver gave me some tips & they are all good golfers. I plan on having some lessons a.s.a.p. when I get some free time. Anyway, since I last updated we have all been very busy working. We have also been doing dance rehearsals for the Yule Ball.I am really enjoying the dancing & my dance partner,"Arielle" is a great dancer & a really nice girl. She is also one of the Beauxbaton girls in the film. We had the D.V.D. launch last Thursday for "Prisoner of Azkaban". It was fun meeting up with cast on a social level & also meeting Alphonso again. I hope that everyone there had a good time because the whole building was dressed as different parts of Hogwart & Hogsmeade & looked great. This week past we were filming some finishing touches to the"black lake" scenees & that was good fun too. When I go back over after the weekend I will be working right up to Christmas so please bear with me & I will try to update as much as I can. I have tried to upload some photos on the website but messed up.My admin has sorted it out for now & I'll try again.(wish me luck). O.K. gotta go for now, Your friend, Devon.

An interview with Shirley Henderson
Shirley did an interview with About.com, after announcing to Intermission of her come back in the fourth coming Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. This is what she had to say on her upcoming role, still as yet to be shot:

You’re doing another Harry Potter? The next one, yeah, I start filming the next one soon. Moaning Myrtle.
Is Harry Potter just a big special effects machine? It is, yeah.My stuff is obviously special effects because I’m being a ghost, but I do have to do all this flying through the air, in these awful contraptions, and it’s rigorous, it’s quite hard work.
You’re in the fourth but no the third? Myrtle’s not in the third, but she pops up in Harry’s bath in the fourth one.
Is it a smaller or bigger role than Chamber of Secrets? I don’t know because I haven’t seen a script yet. I’m waiting on that to arrive.
How do you play a little girl when you’re 37? It’s just how people see you. I think age doesn’t come into acting. I think it’s how you look, and how you look on screen, how your body’s changing, how your face is developing, how each casting director sees you. I mean, obviously I would never get a 14-year-old who wasn’t a ghost. I wouldn’t have been a real schoolgirl in Harry Potter. It’s ridiculous. It’s only because she’s a ghost, and she’s quite pale, and has a strange voice, and she’s old and everything, so with that, that’s a one-off, that’s a different thing altogether. But it’s how people see you, and who they cast you with, who is cast opposite, it’s not really about how old you are.
How important is it to be a part of Harry Potter as far as British culture goes? I don’t know how important it is, but I feel very lucky. I feel very privileged. It’s surprising to me top be a part of something like that. I can’t quite believe it really.
Many Brits identify its place as the biggest English cultural thing. It’s very, very nice to be a part of it.

As a project for the webmaster at Veritaserum, I scanned the pics from my daily Harry Potter PoA desktop calendar. The only ones I left out would be 28 that were so widely used and spread out over the net already. Other than that, it's all there! ;)
Hope you enjoy them. You can view them at one of two places. The Veritaserum.

Transcript & Video of Interview
This one is of ETalk Daily's Interview with the HP cast, and is brought to you by Veritaserum.
Here's the link to the video. And for the transcript, read below.

Transcript:
(1) What element of Harry Potter's world do you wish really existed?Rupert Grint: "The magic obviously...You could do anything, it's wicked." Emma Watson: "Magic fullstop, you know." David Thewlis: "Oh, I wish you could wave a wand and, you know get things done." Tom Felton: "You could fly on broomsticks, and you'd save pounds on petrol." (2) What actor would you love to see join the cast of Harry Potter? Rupert Grint: "I like Mike Myers." Emma Watson: "I love Renee Zellwegger...I don't quite know how we're going to fit Bridget Jones into the Harry Potter plot, that might be pushing it a bit, but she's great." (3) What would you like to see happen to your characters in the novels? Rupert Grint: "I wanted to play Quidditch once. Dan said it's really painful. Apparently in the fifth one (OOTP) Ron actually plays Quidditch, so that'll be cool." Emma Watson: "I'd quite like to see Ron and Hermione together. It's gotta happen. You know, it's there!" Tom Felton: "Epic battle at the end of the last book. Me and Harry one on one, swords in hand or something. I wouldn't mind going out in a blaze."

News: ETalk Daily, a Canadian entertainment program, recently aired an interview with Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, David Thewlis, and Tom Felton from the PoA DVD Launch. Thanks to "Potterfanita" for typing up a transcript of the interview and requesting that they post the video online.

Daniel's Christmas Card
It's that time again! Christmas is coming up, and in celebration of the holidays, Daniel Radcliffe is sending out his 'editted' version of a picture taken from the Second Task in The Goblet of Fire. Or course, while everyone else is wearing antlers and Rudolf noses, you'll notice Dan isn't. ;) Obviously making Him the creator of this manipulated picture. :)
This picture will be the Christmas Cards he will be sending out to anyone who writes between now and the end of December. And he had this to say:

Please find enclosed the Christmas card I will be sending this year. Please find enclosed the Christmas card I will be sending this year. It was taken on the last day of filming the underwater task, 20 feet down in the tank which was specially constructed at Leavesden Studios. This is one of my favourite photos, which I wanted to share with you. Every single person you see, trained, helped and guided me through this very demanding sequence. I have obviously taken a few liberties with the photo to give it a festive flavour! This card will be sent in response to all letters I receive between now and the end of December.

Again, he is also making another plea, that instead of sending him gifts and presents, which he says he has No more room for to store, to please send a donation, no matter how big or small (as it all counts and adds up) to his favorite charity.
The Demelza House.

Best bit of news - I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!! I had to go miles to take it as there was nowhere local to do it but I'm in the wheels - best thing is that it gives you such independence. You don't have to wait for trains or buses - you can just do your own thing!! I just love my car so much. BMW's are the best - we have 3 in the family and we wouldn't go anywhere else.
A big sorry to the girls who apparently were waiting outside the London DVD launch - I didn't know you were there so sorry!! If you write in to the Fan Club and tell me exactly where you were waiting so that I know you are genuine, I'll send out a brand new poster to you with my best wishes.

Good Luck to all!
Think all churches hate Potter?
Well, here's one that not only doesn't spout off the usual rubbish of Harry pulling children into satanism, but the complete Opposite! And luckily enough, glad to say these free thinking people are in MY area. ;)
This was found at the Free Lance Star:

Some (church goers) are holding fellowship dinners, worship services and collecting donations for those less fortunate. Others are trying something a little different, like the Hogwarts Thanksgiving the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fredericksburg held yesterday.
The fellowship used characters from the popular Harry Potter books to teach thankfulness, then held a potluck supper and put together food baskets for the needy.

So here's to hoping many More religions and churches can come to accept Harry Potter is Not evil.
Personally, I'm thinking these church people actually read the book. ;)
Cuarón to return?
This from The Leaky Cauldron.
More from our DVD launch coverage, this time from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban director Alfonso Cuarón, asked about whether he would return to direct HP 5, 6 or 7:
"Later on if I could I would love to come back and work on another Harry Potter film. It's a gift, it's a gift. It was one of the best years of my life, doing this film."
Well, this reporter is personally Praying that that never occurs!
But in truth, as he wasn't invited back, unlike his tellings of 'he was too busy to do #4", it's highly unlikely.

Yule Ball festivities
Jamie Waylett updated his blog today to let us in on what's going on in the filming of GoF.
Here's what he had to say:

Saturday, November 20, 2004DVD Launch and Yule Ball
Thursday night was the DVD Launch for Prisoner of Azkaban - I had a great time! I went with my family and my friend Melissa from The Leaky Cauldron, who's here from New York and staying with us this week (my mum says they did loads of shopping today). It's always nice to see everyone away from the sets. Warner Bros. made up a whole Great Hall for it, and the sweets were cool, especially the chocolate! There was a fountain of chocolate and I dipped at least 12 marshmallows into it - four at a time! We're still filming but this week and next we have dance lessons for the Yule Ball. I'm learning to waltz and after four days I'm getting better. I've been paired up with a really pretty girl for the ball (we thought for a while my partner was going to be Goyle!!!), and she's a dancer so she's teaching me. I've been told I'm 'light on my feet' - imagine Crabbe, light on his feet!!

What's all the buzz?
Just wanting to let everyone know, that while writer Michael Goldenberg has been confirmed to be joining David Heyman in writing the next Harry Potter movie, we still have yet a director. And while names like Nair and Jeunet were thrown around, neither seems to be in the mix now. The current one, and one that actually seems might happen, would be David Yates. Another British director, who has recently been approached by WB. So far his only big screen piece was the 1988,
'The Tichborne Claimant'. But he's done quite a bit in television, including the prize-winning dramas that include "The Way We Live Now" and miniseries "State of Play."
Now, nothing is positive yet, as he has not Actually signed for it yet, however it's been said that a decision will be made likely by next week.
Just a little FYI. ;)

This from Variety.

**Update. Many fan sites going loopy over trying to figure out if Yates IS the new director or not. Others claiming to have spoken directly with the powers that be that Would know. Some just not sure.
Which leads to the question.
WHY is this bit of news ALL important? One can only gather people have nothing better to do than hound those in charge of rumors at WB and other newspaper columns.
More on the Launch!
Extra has a viewable clip to see from some of the launch HERE. And Veritaserum has some Awesome new photos of them, which you can view at their site as well. And WireImages has a batch of different ones as well.
ENJOY!

DVD Launch Party
Well, I'm going to grab the scoop from CBBC Newsround on this, as they seem to have the best view of everything going on here....
It's dark, it's raining, there's smoke rising from the pavements. Then, through the mist, a huge, purple, triple-decker bus appears.
This can only be the launch party of the latest Harry Potter DVD. As the bus swings around to face the world's press, three faces appear from the back of the vehicle.
Dan, Rupert and Emma (Harry, Ron and Hermione) are ready to face the cameras. The three Potter pals looked relaxed and happy, and they chatted easily to each other like the good mates that they are.Rupert is one of the first actors to chat to CBBC Newsround.
He said he couldn't quite believe it'd been four years since he was cast as Ron and admitted he'd seen a bit of the first film on TV a few weeks ago, which had "brought back some memories".
Rupert said it was cool to have some new cast members on the set of the fourth film, the Goblet of Fire, currently shooting at Leavesden Studios. Key new roles are filled by Katie Leung, who plays Harry's girlfriend, Cho Chang, and Stanislav Ianevski, who plays Viktor Krum.
"They're really nice, it's great to have some new people," he said.
'He's lovely'
Emma agreed. She has lots of scenes with Krum, who's her date for the infamous Yule Ball.
"Stanislav is genuinely lovely," she said. "I have to do some dancing scenes with him and he's actually not a bad dancer."
Emma admitted she was having formal dancing lessons for the ball scenes, including learning the tango and the foxtrot!
'Nice kids'
David Thewlis, who plays teacher-turned-werewolf Professor Lupin, said the DVD launch was a great chance to meet up with the young actors again.
"It's so nice to see them," he told Newsround. "They really are very nice kids, especially Daniel, who I did most of my work with - he is very smart, very beautiful and very funny. He is my little friend."
Ahhhh!
David added he expected to be back as Lupin in the fifth film and would be "delighted" to play the part again.
But some of the cast had different reactions when asked the big question - will they be back for films five, six and seven?!
Rupert said: "I want to do all of them if I can, they're just such good fun."
But Emma was more cautious: "Woah!" she laughed. "I've honestly no idea, no idea at all."
We'll have to wait and see!

Shopping for the Witch or Wizard in you
If you live in or near California that is. And I know what you're saying...It's about Time for us that live in the US!!
This was written in Yahoo Financial about it:

Fans of Harry Potter are on Cloud 9. Simpsons fans are D'oh-lirious. Nightmare Before Christmas fans have kidnapped Santa Claus. A stroll down Whimsic Alley, Southern California's newest shopping and tourist attraction, leads to discoveries that will delight and enchant kids and adults alike.
Visitors feel like they've been transported to a mystical London street. Quaint shops offer everything a sophisticated or beginning wizard could want. The Phoenix Wands shop, for example, offers almost 20 styles of magic wands, crafted from exotic woods. Across the alley is Habber & Dasher, with all sorts of wizard wear. There is a Candy Store, a Book Store, and HP Wizard Store, carrying only licensed Harry Potter products and boasts of having more Harry Potter items than any store in the world.
"We wanted to create a place like no other in the world, one that immerses visitors into the wizard world once they enter our door," said Stan Goldin, one of Whimsic Alley's principals.
To achieve his vision, Goldin hired Paul-Felix Montez, a Hollywood visual set designer, to develop the interior. "Traditional space planners couldn't visualize what I had in mind," said Goldin. "Then I discovered Paul and he understood instantly. He and his team took my vision and ran with it - ultimately exceeding my wildest expectations."
What Goldin and Montez have built in Whimsic Alley is more like a theme park than a shop. "Unlike places such as Wal-Mart - or even our website - Whimsic Alley is a place that's fun to come to, whether you purchase anything or not," said Goldin. In fact, places like Wal-Mart are not realistic alternatives. Many items offered at Whimsic Alley are not offered anywhere else.
During its opening week, people came from as far away as Texas and Wyoming. "I felt giddy the whole time I was there," said Sue Epstein, one of the people who drove in to see the place. "I can't believe such a store exists. I stayed there over an hour, just chatting with the sales folks. I've never felt like chatting with the sales folks at Toys R Us." Another visitor said he wouldn't be surprised if tour buses began scheduling regular stops there.
Goldin chuckled at the notion of tour buses pulling up to the door, but does not discount the possibility that Whimsic Alley will attract tourists. He has received inquiries about a physical store from website customers throughout the world. "We'd love seeing people from all over. Having the chance to talk with fans like ourselves is what makes it all fun," said Goldin. Toward that end, Whimsic Alley hopes to offer a free meeting room at least one evening a week for book readings, fan fiction meetings, and the like.
Not all of the shops within Whimsic Alley conform to the wizard theme. One shop specializes in Nightmare Before Christmas products, influenced by the decade-old Tim Burton film. Another specializes in The Simpsons. Still another shop carries nothing but whimsical cows.
Put the words "Whimsic Alley" together and you get the word "whimsically."
Goldin explained, "We cater to people's whimsy - if you find delight in thewizard-world, we've got you covered. Same with Nightmare Before Christmas andThe Simpsons. We expect the shops within Whimsic Alley to evolve over theyears as we and our customers continue to evolve."
Whimsic Alley is located at 2717-1/2 Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica, California.
More New pics
These are from The Sun. And were apparently After the Quidditch game. One picture shows the tents ripped up, while the other shows a rival flagpole being burned.

Tom Updates his blog again
Tom is trying to make sure all his faithful fans will get the chance to see him, this time on the television. He also had a few words on the DVD launch of PoA tonight. He had this to write:
If you want to see me on tv..
I'm on This Morning with Philip Schofield this FRIDAY 19th November. I hope it's not too early because we will be in London for the DVD Launch of The Prisoner of Azkaban on Thursday night (18th) - looks like it will be a really good event with the Knight bus there and loads of people from Harry Potter.
We went to see Jesus Christ Superstar last night at a local theatre with family and a friend who is doing drama at a local theatre school on Saturdays. One of the things I found hard to accept was that you can have 1 character who is a disciple one minute and has changed in the second half to Herod - how can you have 1 person who is a friend in the first half and an enemy in the second half!! Not like films where you keep the same part throughout - it would be a bit weird if I changed character half way through into someone who was a goody character - wouldn't really be the same would it? But that's one of the differences I suppose between theatre and films. Not something I would have chosen to go to really but it was a good production.
We went to an Italian restaurant before the show but it didn't do pizzas - how can you have an Italian restuarant that doesn't do pizzas?? I didn't like any of the food on offer as it was too fancy for me so I starved and stocked up on the sweet shop at the theatre and waited til I got home to eat!
I did a bit of sport over the week-end - actually played tennis & badminton. I'm naturally quite competitive which makes it more interesting for me. Also did some more driving and had a good lesson which lasted about 3 hours. It's so weird getting out of the car and then getting on my bike to go and see friends with the car just sitting on my driveway! hopefully it won't be too long before I can drive. Have you ever tried to book a test in this country - you have to wait for months unless you are prepared to travel quite a way if you get a cancellation. My brother failed his test and he has to wait 3 months to get a test in the place where he lives. That' all in my life at the moment. Do you like the new photo?
See you soon.
Love Tom x

Interview with the Trio
DanRadcliffe.com has posted a transcript on an interview in the DVD of the trio.
Here's what they had to say.
WARNER BROS.“HARRY POTTER 3 DVD”
INTERVIEW WITH DANIEL RADCLIFFE, “HARRY POTTER,” EMMA WATSON, “HERMIONE GRANGER,” RUPERT GRINT, “RON WEASLEY” AND SHRUNKEN HEAD
INTERVIEWER: I understand that Alfonso had you each write an essay. What was that all about?
RUPERT GRINT: Actually I didn’t.
INTERVIEWER: True to character. You didn’t hand in your homework?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: YeS.
RUPERT GRINT: No, I didn’t do it.
EMMA WATSON: Basically Alfonso asked us to write an essay about who we thought our characters were, why they did the things they do. Their backgrounds, their feelings, their thoughts, how they’ve changed in the first year of Hogwarts, and the second year of Hogwarts. And now they’re into the third year, how they feel.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I felt really so pleased with myself. Rupert hadn’t handed his in and I felt so pleased because I’d done mine, on side of A4, and handed it in. And the next day Emma comes in with all 16 pages of hers!
INTERVIEWER: It’s frighteningly good casting, really, the way you’ve all reacted to this.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: We just got a chance to explore the characters slightly more because they’re growing up, basically. It’s true to the characters, as it’s all in the books.
INTERVIEWER: What is the first thing that typically fans do when they see you in public?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: It kind of starts off with sort of double takes at first. I think there’s almost this theory that we can’t actually go out in public so it must just be somebody who looks like us. But, I mean, that’s kind of a myth. We do actually go out.
EMMA WATSON: Yes, I was in a shop the other day and this woman who was working there comes up and goes, ha-ha-ha, it’s so funny, you look exactly like the girl who plays Hermione. And I say, that’s because I am.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: I have to travel in the handbags so the girls won’t get me. You know what they say. Once you’ve gone out with a shrunken head, you never go back.
INTERVIEWER: You see where your mouth has come unstitched. That could easily be re-stitched.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: Bah.
INTERVIEWER: What is the most ridiculous thing that, that a fan has ever said to you?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I’ve had proposals of marriage.
INTERVIEWER: Have you?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I had one, which was bizarre. It was terrifying.
EMMA WATSON: At the premiere. It was, “Dan, marry me.”
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: Yes, it was the weirdest one. It was this big sign. And then the other one was the Towel Girl.
INTERVIEWER: The Towel Girl.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: The Towel Girl. She’s a legend.
INTERVIEWER: And what did the Towel Girl do?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I was doing MTV in New York. And it was freezing cold out. I mean, it’s not like it was a warm summer’s day. It was so cold. And I got up and they took me over to the window. And there was a girl standing down there wearing nothing but a Harry Potter towel with a sign that said. It doesn’t get much better than this.
INTERVIEWER: That’s so flattering.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: With another sign that says, “Nothing comes between me and Harry Potter”. It was great.
INTERVIEWER: In the movie, you encounter a Boggart who transforms itself into your worst fear. If you individually encountered Boggarts, what do you think they’d be?
RUPERT GRINT: I’m actually really scared of spiders. I hate spiders. Just like Ron, really.
INTERVIEWER: What do you think the other two would morph into?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I don’t know.
RUPERT GRINT: You always said that I was like a frog.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I didn’t say you were like a frog.
RUPERT GRINT: You did in one of the pictures.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: Did I?
RUPERT GRINT: Yes.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: That was during my horrible phase. I don’t know Rupert. What would you like to be? You like camels.
RUPERT GRINT: Camels are quite cool.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: So he can be a camel.
INTERVIEWER: It’s a handy thing to be, you know. You can go a long time without water.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I have absolutely no idea about what Emma would be.
INTERVIEWER: Throw one in.
EMMA WATSON: Yes, come on, Dan. No pressure or anything.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: Hey. How about a potato head? A platypus.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: Help me.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: A lion.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: A lion.
EMMA WATSON: Roar.
INTERVIEWER: What do you think he’d be?
EMMA WATSON: I know he has a real thing for werewolves.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: No, just wolves.
INTERVIEWER: Wolves.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I convinced you that I was a werewolf.
RUPERT GRINT: He did, yes.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I told him I was a werewolf.
RUPERT GRINT: And I believed you as well.
INTERVIEWER: You couldn’t have done really.
RUPERT GRINT: Oh, I did, yes.
INTERVIEWER: Boys, you are probably the most famous under 16-year-olds on this Earth. All those girls, it must be a glorious time.
EMMA WATSON: Plenty of towel girls.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: Yes. Many, many towel girls. It’s great. It’s very cool. Yes.
INTERVIEWER: What are the things you’d like to be able to do that you can do in Harry Potter that you can’t do in the real world?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I think I’d like the invisibility cloak because then I could just sneak into so many rock concerts. It’d be great.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: You don’t need a cloak to sneak into concerts. Just roll in under the turnstile like I do.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: Yes.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: But I do have a favourite band.
INTERVIEWER: Okay. What’s your favourite band?
SHRUNKEN HEAD: Isn’t it obvious? Talking Heads. You walked into that one.
INTERVIEWER: When a new Harry Potter book comes out, having started out as Harry Potter book fans, it must have really changed the way you read these books now.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: You do kind of start to look at it as in, oh, my God; I’ll be doing this soon.
INTERVIEWER: So for you it’s not a book, it’s a list of things to do.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: Yes. I read the fourth book as we started the first film. At the Yule Ball I remember Rupert and me were like oh, my God we’re wearing dresses.
INTERVIEWER: Did you have a similar moment when you read that?
RUPERT GRINT: Definitely. I was scared.
INTERVIEWER: But when you were looking at it thinking that’s another two weeks in blue skirts, did it sort of ruin or heighten your enjoyment of the book?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: I think for me it heightens it because I’m actually going to get to do this. There are kids all over the world dreaming of this stuff.
INTERVIEWER: You’re living a dream?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: And I’m actually going to be able to do it. It’s fantastic.
INTERVIEWER: What about you?
SHRUNKEN HEAD: Don’t you think I’d be a great Harry Potter?
INTERVIEWER: Especially when it comes to waving a wand.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: I hadn’t thought of that.
EMMA WATSON: Now that I’ve done the film, when I’m reading the book, I can see Dan, Rupert and I actually doing it. It’s really funny. I have this little picture in my head.
INTERVIEWER: That’s me, done. So now it’s time to turn to the Head and ask him to ask you his one question.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: Daniel, isn’t our scene together the highlight of the film? Don’t you think it’s head and shoulders above the rest?
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: It’s the Knight Bus scene, isn’t it? I just remember you got on set and you were making all the demands actually.
EMMA WATSON: He wouldn’t come out of his trailer for hours.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: I don’t remember that.
DANIEL RADCLIFFE: It was a great scene. A very good scene.
SHRUNKEN HEAD: Come on, Daniel. I’m the most talented shrunken head in the Screen Actor’s Guild. In fact, I’m the only talking shrunken head in the Guild.
THE END

No More Franz
Franz Ferdinand have pulled out of the new 'Harry Potter' film.
The award-winning group, who will feature on the movie's soundtrack, were offered a cameo role as wizard rock band the Wyrd Sisters, who perform at Hogwarts' Yule Ball.
But the rockers - who will perform at tonight's (18.11.04) MTV Europe Awards in Rome - were forced to say no because they couldn't fit it into their busy schedule.
Instead, Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker and Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood are set to play the magical band.
Jarvis was recently signed up to provide the soundtrack to the upcoming film, 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'.

London and HP teaming up
London is trying for a bid for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. And helping them out in sponsering the latest attempt to grab at it, would be Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban DVD.
Oxford street will be lit up like Never before this Christmas to show support for the bid. Emma Watson will be among a large list of celebrities to be there, and there will be special Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban light show every night of the festival. This will begin at each day at approx. 4pm until January 5th, 2005. This was written at West End, sure to help bring out ANY Harry Potter fans:
To delight all Harry Potter fans even more, each night there will be a spectacular Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban light show. During this breathtaking display, the spellbinding 21st century lights will be choreographed to the film's soundtrack, with a finale of Harry casting the Patronus charm.
Bout TIME
Well, it is about time! WB has now put out a contest for the adult Harry Potter fans.
Hey! We may act like it, but not all of us are still young. So if you're over the age of 18, and are a legal resident (yes I know that cuts about 1/5 our population out) of the United States, then here's your chance.
The grand prize is a trip to London, to interview Rowling, Radcliffe, Watson and Grint!
Again, this is a contest you can enter daily. And try not to cheat, as this was written in there as well"
Any attempt by a participant to obtain more than the allowable entries by using multiple/different e-mail addresses, Member ID's, identities or any other methods will void all of that participant's entries.
So click HERE to enter, and GOOD LUCK!
The Phelps Twins and charity
The Phelps twins are trying to encourage thinking and grammar in students in the UK.
Yup! That's right, the ever mischievious Weasley twins, and they've promised a prize to the school that responds most!
Here's what they had to say:

We are James and Oliver Phelps, better known as the actors who play the Weasley Twins in the Harry Potter films. This may seem a strange request coming from us (like the characters we play, we have never been known for our studious behaviour!), but we are urging all pupils in the UK to banish mischievous thoughts from their heads and bury their noses in books. Why you ask? Well, Spellathon is the answer and Mencap, the UK's leading learning disability charity, is the cause.Spellathon is a sponsored spelling test for primary school pupils using Oxford University Press approved lists.Pupils are sponsored for every word they spell correctly and the schools can keep 25 per cent of the money raised.Spelling is not every student's favourite subject and we are sure many would prefer to be playing games, but just think of all the fun that can be had with learning words like cauldron, magician and potions.February and March are Spellathon months, but you can take part at any time throughout the year. Organising your spelling contest is easy and we promise you that everyone will come out a winner. And, what's more, we promise to pay a personal visit to the school that raises the most money.
Oliver Phelps and James Phelps, Mencap

For your free Spellathon pack, call 0845 977 7779 or e-mail HERE.
The packs contain sponsor forms, spelling lists for all ages and key stages, plus posters to help advertise your efforts and lots more.

New Writer for Order of the Phoenix
According to producer David Heyman, Steven Kloves, who wrote the first four "Harry Potter" screenplays will be stepping aside for the fifth installment in the series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, to return to directing. Kloves wrote and directed the popular 1989 film The Fabulous Baker Boys with Michelle Pfeiffer, Jeff and Beau Bridges, and he is anxious to get back into directing by adapting Mark Haddon's best-selling novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, which Heyman will also produce.Heyman will be working with writer Michael Goldenberg on the script for "Order of the Phoenix," with the usual final approval by J.K. Rowling herself. Goldenberg wrote Jodie Foster's Contact, the 2003 adaptation of Peter Pan, as well as the screenplay for the upcoming Where the Wild Things Are film, which is to be directed by Spike Jonze. At the time of this writing, the plans are to start shooting "Order of the Phoenix" in January 2006 for a Spring or Fall 2007 release. A director should hopefully be announced by the end of the year.

Can't wait for book six?
Then try this out for size. An enthusiast all himself, W. Frederick Zimmerman has put out a book that is called the
Unofficial "Half-Blood Prince" Update:News and Speculation about Harry Potter Book Six

In this book, the author Zimmerman, pulls together everything fans know so far about the next Harry Potter book, and beyond.
In this 136 paged info-filled book, it very clearly lays out everything we know about the book so far, following all the fan rumors and speculation, debunking the rumors we know to be false, and documented with interviews J.K. Rowling has given on the subject.
In its first section, the book attempts to shed light on the new mysteries of book 6, and goes into great detail for subjects like the identity of the Half-Blood Prince, listing each of the possibilities and their pros and cons. It also includes a transcript of a very interesting chat session on Mugglenet which the author of the Update book believes was joined by J.K. Rowling herself, in which she says some very important things, lays some very important clues, and asks some very important questions we all should be asking.
In its chapters about book 7 and beyond, the book covers some possible titles that have and have not been ruled out for book 7, and also the possibility that after all the books are done, J.K. Rowling may go back and revise them all again. The book also includes many resources that fans can use to go on and learn more themselves.
A fan of the books himself, Mr. Zimmerman read all the Harry Potter books with his young daughter Kelsey, reading them aloud to her until, he says, she got too smart for him after the third book. His book is very heavily documented with quotes, so you know exactly who said these things and when they were said, making this book an important source of information you'll want to refer to over and over again.

Thanks to Wizard News for this.

Rowling donates to save school
In news at The Pride of Ireland, another auction is in motion. This one is to save a school from closure. It appears Antiville Primary School, is in near financial ruin, and upon hearing of this, the author JK Rowling has sent all five of her books to help in the auction. The donation includes a first edition and a letter of authenticity from JK Rowling.
They will be auctioned of at Larne Town Hall on November 17 and 18 from 10:00am-12:30pm.
Parents' association secretary Samantha Robinson said "It was my husband William's idea that the auction should include children's books and he suggested JK Rowling.
"I didn't think anyone so famous would support a Northern Ireland school, I was too choked to speak when they came," she said.
The donation includes a first edition and a letter of authenticity from JK Rowling.
"I just wouldn't want to separate them, so they will be sold as one lot," said Mrs Robinson.
"We heard that a first edition, which wasn't signed by the author, reached 1,500 pounds, so a reserve of 1,000 pounds has been put on them."

The highest bidder for the books will be announced in the school at 9pm on November 18.

New Set Report
Ok well we were NOT going to type up a report for this weeks filming of the Goblet of Fire, but obviously we realise not everyone has the chance to get to these sets, so here goes, hope you all enjoy!.
We can confirm also that there WILL be many more scenes filmed in 2004/2005 at the same location. The scenes will incorporate the lake with a set currently being built right in the middle of the lake and the scene of last years Hippogriff area in the centre of the wonderful Royal park & gardens in Virginia Water.

We will post news here nearer to the time of this and a further 3 location shoots all being used before the end of 2004 which we will attend and bring you as many details as possible. PLEASE don't rush down to Virginia Water to see the set, it will be hidden behind green canvas until it is required.
Anyhow, for the report, please go to our Set Reports Page

Tom Updates his blog
And to boot, he's having another meet and greet as well. This is what he had to say at his site/blog.

VENUE FOR AUTOGRAPH SIGNINGS - NOVEMBER 27th
I didn't do that much at the week-end but I went shopping on Saturday and got some new good CD's. Nothing like music to keep you happy - it's one of my favourite things to do and I love listening to music as much as I can. I really need another CD rack as I have so many that they are now piled up on floor and my mum gets mad at all the mess! Still, I know where they all are so I hope she doesn't tidy anything up because I'll never be able to find anything again!
Well, we tried to book Milton Keynes for an autograph signing but couldn't find a venue that could cope with the security issues. The shopping centres proved a no go area so we have had to move on to other places that can cope. So a BIG SORRY to those who were going to travel to Milton Keynes but the good news is that we are going to have an autograph session back at THE CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB at Stamford Bridge, London SW6 1HS where they are very happy to host us. It's going to be on 27TH NOVEMBER starting at 10am for 3 hours or so. There's not going to be a football game on so it's usually quiet there so don't be put off if you think there's going to loads of football supporters around! I've got some new photos and posters available that no one has seen before. Last time, people came into the room, chose their photo and I signed it and the whole thing takes about 20 minutes. ONLY DEDICATED AUTOGRAPHS.
A4 signed photos will be £15. Un signed posters £5. NO E BAY SELLERS. Anyone who is a fan club member with their membership card will get a free new photo for being a loyal fan! It will be the same as before in that you can bring your own cameras for a photo of you and me together. If you weren't there at the last signing in July have a look at the website to see what it was like. Mums/parents are welcome to accompanyyour daughter - my mum will be there to make sure I'm ok so your adults can be there to make sure you are OK!! There was a really nice atmoshphere last time so I look forward to seeing you all again and to seeing some new faces!!
COLOGNE, GERMANY
It looks like we have got a date for Cologne and that date is December 18th. We're hoping to have it in a nice hotel in Rheinsaal 2,3 and Rheinpfalz and I will sign photos for the day and all my German fans can take photos. I will let you know very shortly the hotel name when the date is confirmed. Hope you like the new photos of the ladies who help with the Fan Club. See you soon.
Love Tom x

More at Noble Collection
The Noble Collection has gotten even more and a better selection in items for the Harry Potter fan!
Thanks to TLC for this update!
Some of the new items to see:

Thanks to Rowling
JK Rowling's smallest ever Harry Potter book - measuring just one inch high -has sold for 11,000 pounds.
The leather-bound tome was a guide to everything Harry needed for his life at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
It was one of the prized lots in a charity auction organised by Tatler magazine.
Rowling's book, which included pictures of Harry's witch's hat, broomstick and wire-rimmed spectacles, was the third most expensive lot.
The Miniature Books Sale raised money for the 999 Club, a homeless charity in Deptford, south London.

About Pirated DVDs
This is a bit of news to any who think they've gotten one up on the film industry, by buying an illegally copied DVD.
From This is London, a bust that was made a bit ago in England, which stopped an operation that sold 400,000 copies of blockbusters including: Lord Of The Rings, Spider-Man, and the Harry Potter movies, making about 3 million pounds in less than two years.
But customers who snapped up the latest films were unwittingly pouring money into the coffers of organised crime gangs in the Far East who supplied the DVDs. The customers were also unaware they were buying discs that would ruin their DVD players after just four or five plays.
"Consumers thought they were getting a great deal. It's hard to resist a market stall selling the latest films for bargain prices. But in reality they were funding crime on a grand scale. The discs they were buying were copied CD-roms which quickly wreck conventional DVD players by interfering with their laser readers."
Far from being a victimless crime, he said, piracy is " inextricably linked" to drug dealing, gun running and people trafficking. "The cash from these businesses is invested in other illegal enterprises. People might think they are doing no harm by buying a dodgy DVD from a bloke in a pub or on a market stall, but they are putting money in the pockets of organised crime gangs."

**So to those who buy such DVDs, be aware not only is it illegal, nowadays it will also damage your players. And try and think about Where this money goes to and into before another is bought.
