Interview With Heyman
Tom Felton Daily has four scans from Movie Magic, that has an interview with David Heyman.
It sounds, from the interview, that anyone whom is a fan of Tom Felton, will be most pleased with the performance given in this movie. Read below for an excerpt:
"He is the 'Chosen One', just like Harry is the 'Chosen One'. He's been chosen by Voldemort to kill Dumbledore just as Harry is the Chosen One and Voldemort is his destiny. "
"Draco is not altogether comfortable with the task he's been given. On the one hand, he's excited about making a name for himself and the import, but he struggles with his conscience and whether he wants or should be doing. And those nuances that Tom is bringing to it are terrific. It feels like a deeper, richer character than we've been able to see to date."
This was given on what Yates was still bringing to the movie. Heyman feels he is enriching all the characters in such a way as well. To read the full article, just click the scans below.
**Thanks to TFD for the scans.

BBC has a new piece (video), that shows a bit of the sets used for Harry Potter at Leavesden up.
It's just video, no audio, but entertaining none the less to view.

Trial Piece
The New Yorker has a Wonderful piece on the trial between Mrs. Rowling and Mr. Vander Ark.
Below is a few small pieces, be sure to check the entire article HERE.
Once upon a time, a talented weaver named Arachne declared herself superior in skill to Athena, the goddess of wisdom, who also invented weaving. Whether Arachne was actually better we’ll never know, for Athena, in a jealous rage, destroyed her rival’s tapestry and turned her into a spider. Last summer, at a “Harry Potter” convention in Toronto, a fan named Steve Vander Ark made a similar mistake when he dared to compare himself to Joanne (J. K.) Rowling.
In 2000, Vander Ark, turned his obsessive notes into a Web site, The Harry Potter Lexicon. Soon, he was a celebrity in the “Potter” community. But when he decided to turn his Web site into a book Rowling sued his publisher, effectively exiling him from the wizard community.
One of his former cohorts, Melissa Anelli, sat at the back of the courtroom for much of the testimony. Although she and Vander Ark had collaborated on podcasts (she’d referred to him as a “guru”) and had even linked their Web sites together in the “Floo network,” she was not at the trial to cheer him on but, as she said, “to support Jo.”
Anelli is writing her own “Potter” book, with Rowling’s blessing, and during a break in the trial Rowling sought her out and gave her a warm embrace, a moment that might have been as difficult for Vander Ark as any part of the legal proceedings.
******************************************************************
I don't know how bad the courts and courtrooms are in other countries, but this suit sits just fine with the mighty U.S. legal system. Where people can not only sue, but win millions of dollars in a lawsuit because the coffee that was bought was 'too hot'; or where burglars can sue a homeowner for injuring themselves during a robbery.
I'm sure no matter where you stand on this case, you're hoping as we are here, that justice Does win out on this case.
Thanks to Tim Wu for writing this piece, and to Portkey for passing it on to us.
Tonks on HBP
Emma from SnitchSeeker was able to catch up with Natalia Tena at CollectorMania recently. She has a small piece she has given on it:
This past weekend I attended Collectormania 13 in Milton Keynes, England, where, amongst others, Natalia Tena (Tonks) was present. She told me about her role in Half-Blood Prince & her reaction to Deathly Hallows.
The only scene Natalia has filmed for the movie, isn't actually in the book at all. She was only on set for the part where Death Eaters attack the Burrow at Christmas (where Harry & the Weasleys are present). She said that none of the angst of her character is there - indeed, she and Lupin are just suddenly a couple when they meet there.
In regards to Deathly Hallows, she said she was disappointed to see that they got married, due to her own personal preference towards the institution. So she doesn't want a big wedding scene (which some fans think may happen, given the exclusion of Bill Weasley & Fleur Delacour from Half-Blood Prince). But she did say that she would love to have to ride a broom with a pregnant belly.
This was Natalia's first ever convention and hopefully not her last. She was a true character in every sense of the word.
I shall scan my autograph (which she decided to do multi-coloured, with shapes) and upload pictures as soon as possible.
**Thanks to SnitchSeeker for this.

Court Update ???
Hey all! Just wanted to take a minute out to say, no, we're not the only HP fansite that
isn't aware there's a big court case under way dealing with JKR.
Just that there seems no real reason to bother putting one to five daily postings
about the latest to come from the trial. We're trying our best to not bother others
with our opinion on the whole matter, and can only say that we here at HP4U wish
for a fair trial and judge (seems good so far), and that the best man/woman win.
And to any who simply must drink in the latest in gossip and/or facts and testimony
over the case, may I suggest getting it from our friends at
The Daily Snitcher, as they seem to be reporting this rather unbiased like;)
We will be sure to bring you the final judgment when it's rendered however.

New Set Report
The London Taxi Tours had this to report:
We know they have filmed Dumbledore’s death and the Quidditch has also been filmed, which might explain why the cranes are now gone. We also know that the Malfoy’s house is under construction.
And the HP site Amortentia, had posted a girl's visit to the Leavesden set (she had won a contest at a news station in Mexico). Below is the English translation:
******
Only two people were the lucky ones, and in Amortentia today we present
you with one of them, it’s Alejandra Castillo, an Administration
student at UNAM, who at 19 years old was able to make one of her dreams
a reality (and we are sure it is the dream of many, as well.)
We leave you with the experience of Ale in London, who with her words
tells us about this marvelous and unforgettable experience with Harry
Potter, and the end you can see the photos that she shared with
Amortentia:
It went very well, magnificent I would say, everything was stupendous,
in spite of the running in airports because first the flight from Mexico
to Paris was delayed, and I had to run a bit from the security point,
but all was well with the arrival, the person from the WB was waiting
on me. According to him, the day was beautiful, but it was windy, and I
was dying of cold.
I arrived at the hotel and they explained everything. The bad thing is
that they did not have my room ready and I was not able to take a bath
or rest for a bit. That afternoon I went out with a friend who lived in
the city. We toured the city and had dinner and I froze, but I would not
miss the opportunity.
At breakfast the next morning I chatted with some girls from Denmark,
and let’s say we fit together well, hee hee. The visit to the set was
fantastic. One time after seeing the movies said, “If only I could be
there” and it happened to me! I promise you that it was not until I
sat I the Great Hall did I believe it all. It was very cool that as we
entered they played music and all.
The girl assigned to us as a guide was very cool, told us stories and
details of the movies, toured us through the hallways, the Gryffindor
Common room, the dorm rooms (Ha, I ran to Harry’s bed), the
Burrow—which is truly leaning—the Dumbledore’s office, where
there is already his portrait, because the told us they had already
filmed the death this week. They also had small train cars for scenes
from the Express.
Also we visited the department of creatures. It surprised me to see the
detail with which they make everything—to put in each hair, I never
would have imagined it.
I loved getting to know the animals and how they are trained. Fang is
adorable and I wanted to pack him up to take him home with me to Mexico.
Also we met Crookshanks and the owl that is Hedwig. I didn’t know it
was possible to train a bird, but the owls are beautiful.
In makeup we were able to get a scar or a Dark Mark. I wanted both but
I only had time for the Mark. When I went for my scar we had to go. They
did one girl’s hair like Hermione’s.
They also showed us some special effects, like Rita Skeeter’s quill,
the door of the vault where they found the Philosopher’s Stone, the
cauldron and the floating candles.
The food was very good—in the Great Hall—never did I imagine eating
there, but it is something I will never forget, and they entertained us
with magic acts, stupendous!
I finished with tired legs, but I would have walked another two hours
to know and be able to stay there. It was a unique opportunity.
And to close with a clasp of gold, we met Matthew Lewis and Katie Leung
who were really super cool—very nice and allowed us to ask questions.
It was very nice to be able to hang out with them. It clearly would have
been magnificent to hang out with the three main characters, but I
imagine it would have been quite a disturbance.
That night I had dinner with the two girls from Denmark, Sabrina and
Helle, and I had a good time with them. After, we three went out with my
friend who took us to Platform 9 ¾, we went for coffee and then went
back to the hotel because we had to leave very early the next morning.
The trip back was fine in general. The flight to Paris was delayed and
I had to run to the connection to Mexico because there were only two
working X-ray machines, but that was fine. I arrived dead. I did not
have classes the next day and I was able to sleep until the afternoon,
but it was 100% worth the pain, and I would go back with out a doubt.
Last month, Mexican news station First News sent out a request from the
WB to all Mexican Harry Potter Fans to be able to visit Leavesden
Studios in London, where all the movies have been filmed, from the first
to Half-Blood Prince which they are currently filming.
Only two people were the lucky ones, and in Amortentia today we present
you with one of them, it’s Alejandra Castillo, an Administration

A new piece has popped up, this one at a German fan convention.

Two pictures were taken of it by a fan. To view them larger, just click on the images.
Thanks ever much to M for this.;)

**It's been said that this is a fan-made piece? If that should be so, please let said fan write in! If he/she can create a standee to that perfection, I've got a couple of jobs for him/her!;)

New Quiz on Scholastic Website
Scholastic has just posted a fun (and not that easy!) Harry Potter Wizard Challenge called Humoring Harry on its official website. Try it out now and have fun!
J.K. Rowling: More Potter Talk
La Gazette du Sorcier has posted a great little report (please scroll down the page a bit to read the detailed English version) containing various remarks made by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling while attending the James Joyce Awards presentation in Dublin last February. It's an interesting read, replete with nuggets of information about our favourite Harry Potter characters. Rowling confirmed yet again that she is indeed planning to "write an Encyclopedia which would hopefully incorporate a lot of back story that wasn’t in the books,” and discussed some of the rumours and theories she heard through the grapevine while writing the beloved series, admitting the one about 'Dumbledore being Harry from the future' is definitely one of her all time favourites.
Enjoy!

Another New Interview with JKR
One Adeel Amini was lucky enough to catch up with Mrs. Rowling, and have a few questions answered. You can catch the full interview HERE. Below are some excerpts.
At this stage in her life, then, almost a year on from the publication of the final book, what does she miss more – Harry Potter or her anonymity? There is a long pause before she answers. “That’s a very excellent question. No one’s ever asked me that.” She pauses to think once more while I revel in the briefest moment of self-satisfaction.
At the risk of sounding pushy and insensitive, I insist on an answer for my earlier question. “Right now I miss Harry more,” she declares. “I do. I miss him as a character, but the interesting thing is he was never the most popular character in the books. In fact there was a poll a while ago and something like 2% of readers said that Harry was their favourite character. There are much more obvious characters to love: Hagrid, Ron, everyone loves Ron. I mean, who doesn’t like Ron…”
Is Harry her favourite? “Um, he’s up there, because he’s my hero so clearly I would. But he’s not always likeable but I think that’s right. He’s an angry person – but he would be!”
“It would be nonsensical to think that this poor 15 year-old boy who’s repeatedly saving the world, with no gratitude whatsoever,” - the laugher turns more raucous at this point - “wouldn’t at some point think, ‘Why do I have to do this? Why does it have to be me?’ So yeah, he does have a lot of angst and he certainly does take it out on his friends but something about Harry is that he has no one else to take it out on.”
Rowling has stated many times that she hasn’t always been happy with her work, a natural thought no doubt for any creative personality. Is there anything that she would go back and change? “There are two books I would go back and do a good Director’s Cut on: Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix. Order of the Phoenix is definitely overlong but, like Chamber of Secrets, they’re both transitional chapters in the overall story, so information has to be given in both of them, and Harry has to visit places in both of them. Now that seven’s out you can see that he had to have gone to the Ministry of Magic, he had to know that there was a Basilisk under the school, there were certain things he had to know and information he had to get and so in a series like that you do end up with transitional chapters. Phoenix should have been tightened up. I was in a state of advanced exhaustion when I was writing that, I was very heavily pregnant as I came to the end of it and I just ran out of energy. It definitely needs a clean-up job.”
Has she read any of the books again? “The only one I’ve gone back and re-read since publication is the seventh book, which is my favourite.” Rowling had apparently planned the ending very early on, shortly after the genesis of the entire series. “Yes, that’s the point to which I was working for 17 years so of course it was going to be a big cathartic experience and I’d given a lot of thought to it. But also it was immensely liberating not to be writing a school story any more, just to get them out of Hogwarts, even though I love Hogwarts. You probably good squeeze a good few more stories out of Hogwarts, there’s so much there but the constraints that a school timetable places upon your characters are huge. And never having to write another Quidditch match,” she laughs. “The thing that will keep me away from Hogwarts for the next generation is having to do blummin’ Quidditch again unless I decide my hero this time can’t play Quidditch. Then he can go have adventures while someone else is playing Quidditch!”

More Romance in HBP?
So it would seem if we're to believe a magazine called Wikén.
It's said to have interviewed both Radcliffe and Yates, and was there for
a little filming. This is what it had to say:
Against all expectations, the sixth installment of the saga will not be as dark as the previous one. In spite of the tragic end of Harry's mentor, Dumbledore (Michael Gambon), the movie actually revolves around the awkward and comical romance between Harry and Ginny Weasley, sister of Harry's best friend Ron (played by Bonnie Wright, who made her debut in the second installment).
Here is what Radcliffe had to say on this topic: "It's a complex story, it isn't a simple romance because Harry is such a close friend of Ron's, and Ginny is his sister, and Harry feels as if he's walking on eggshells". According to director David Yates, "the fifth [film] was pretty intense, but this one has more comedy in it (...) There are many subtleties in the relationship, and a lot of sexual and emotional tension". The movie also promises a lot of action and magic galore, and it will count with at least one scene that is not in the book.
The Christmas Party scene was also being filmed that day, but it only says that Slughorn was walking around the students. Not much to go on, and I can see that scene possibly hitting the editing floor.
Not so sure if the above is a good sign or a bad? As I know there are many Harry/Ginny shippers out there. But then again, most of us aren't into Harry Potter for comedy and romance.:/ So here's to hoping for enough adventure, and enough of keeping to the book to keep the rest of us thrilled.;)

A Glance @ Our Future Fenrir
It's not much of an interview (it is the Daily Star), but I liked it as it gave us a good shot of the actor who will be terrorizing the Order and it's juniors soon.
Dave Legeno had this short bit to say in the article:
"Daniel will be taking his own 17 stone monster in this film – me.”
He added: “He is a lovely guy but let’s just say he will have his hands full when I get hold of him.”

A Little More From Millennium Bridge
A few more shots of the weekend London Half-Blood Prince filming, Millennium Bridge, EC4. Using the Millennium Bridge was pretty inspired, given the wonderful backdrop of some of London's older buildings, including St. Pauls Cathedral which will probably be seen on screen judging from the camera positions used. You will also notice the use of the helicopter on this set with some great maneuvers to capture the 'crowd' walking over the bridge.
This set, which didn't feature any main actors, did however use 150 'extras' through the 2 days filming - check out the guys with the brass instruments! They are sure to feature in the scene as they were given a prominent and central position during filming; as to the group of students all wearing red caps.
Now, there were three bits of inforamtion that were given during the time there by someone quite important to the production.
1-That this scene has to do with the Hocruxes.
2-That this scene was from the opening scenes of the film,
an 3- Dementors will also be in this opening sequence.
But sadly, despite much begging they wouldn't ellaborate further, and not a call sheets in sight!! We can only wait and see. What is certain though, is the shots will be edited to include CGI effects to make the bridge 'collapse' to further the destruction of the Capital during the dark times in the Wizarding World.
