HP DVDs in HD Format

Now that the first three Harry Potter DVDs have been pulled from the market and that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVDs are being removed from store shelves later this month, Warner Home Video has just announced that all four Harry Potter DVDs will be re-released later this year in HD (high definition) format. According to WHV, 'HD DVDs offer resolution six times higher than standard definition DVDs, as well as extraordinarily vibrant contrast and color and beautifully crisp sound. HD DVDs also provide a higher level of interactivity, with instant access to extra features via a seamless menu-bar where viewers can enjoy features without leaving or interrupting the film.'

All I know is that it would be beyond marvelous if the new DVDs offered a director's cut version, or at least a version of each film with all the deleted scenes included in all the right places! Wishful thinking, perhaps?
