The SUNny side of the media
The Sunday Mail had made a statement that J.K. Rowling had written Lockhart from her ex-husband a short while back. Now after a statement from Rowling, stating this was NOT the case; an apology goes out on their behalf. This is what they had to say:
JK ROWLING: AN APOLOGY
ON August 22 we published an article headlined 'JK: My revenge' in which we mistakenly stated that JK Rowling had revealed that she had based her Harry Potter character Gilderoy Lockhart on her ex-husband Jorge Arantes.
Subsequently, we were contacted by Ms Rowling's solicitors and, as a result, we are happy to accept that she made no such revelation and that the character is not based on Mr Arantes in any way. We apologise for any embarrassment caused.

And whoever said you couldn't trust everything you read in the media??
