Jason Isaacs Interview "I was already nostalgic for the history of Harry Potter while I was still making it and I knew the end was coming. It was two film…they made the last book into two films and it was a fantastic experience because everybody’s back…everyone who is left alive that is…and even some of the dead people. There is nothing greater than sitting around on a Harry Potter set when you’re not filming and listening to the likes of Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Bill Nighy and Jim Broadbent tell stories. And watching everybody crew the scenery up in the few moments you get on screen - trying to out ham each other is magnificent. This big franchise goes out in an epic way. But I was always cognisant of the fact that I’d have to pack up my little furry friend of a wig and stick it in a box and say goodbye to the cane. All the joy was tinged with sadness for me." New Video of the HP Universe It's put out on You Tube and is much like a previously seen piece, going through the layout of what's to come (or really finished being built). This one has labels, so that you'll see what's where, and as Screamscapes mentioned, might help when you in your plotting of what to do first upon arrival. One of their readers also reported that the dragon's body is being prepped and added to the ride, Dueling Dragons. Hopefully pics will arrive shortly!
**Thanks to Screamscapes for this.

Carter With RT Helen Bonham-Carter's on a role, what with her newest film (Alice in Wonderland) out; and has yet another interview about online. This one with Rotten Tomatoes.
"I'm mostly in [Deathly Hallows: Part 2]," she told RT. "But it was fun. I died on my last day, which was really weird -- to actually be [killed] on my last day. Molly Weasley - Julie Walters - kills me." "And it'll be quite the moment," she explained. "I do get a good death scene," she told us. "It was really exhausting. As usual! [I'm] duelling, with a wand, on a table. I fell right off. I was clever enough to say, 'If you're going to ask me to duel, backwards, can we put a stuntman at the end?' They said, 'Ah, you won't need one.' And what did I do? Walked straight off." "You'd think with 70 people looking at you, one of them would go, 'Er, could you stop?!' No! They loved it. I nearly killed myself -- on the day that I died."
For Bonham-Carter, bringing Bellatrix to an end was an emotional experience given her investment in the creation of the character as she appears in the films. "Bellatrix wasn't on the page," she explained. "I did think, What can I do to make this interesting? She was just written as tall and gaunt, but I knew there was something I got attracted to -- playing arrested development. You know, children. Bellatrix is another child -- stuck and totally anarchic."

2010 NME Awards While other HP members are said to've attended the ceremony tonight, so far there are only two images found online of Jamie Campbell-Bower & Bonnie Wright. **Thanks to the Bonnie Wright site, Photogenic for this.;) Looking forward to more images! Check back later.
Few More These images (along with a few others) are courtesy of Behind the Trills. To check out their latest assembly of pictures, you can check them out HERE.
Carter on her scenes in The Deathly Hallows In an interview to promote her movie Alice in Wonderland (also staring Johnny Depp), Helen talks a little on her role as the infamous Bellatrix LeStrange. Also, she's given us some insight as to where the break in scenes might be, the cut between part 1 & 2. "The best bit about being Bellatrix in this one is also because I got to pretend to be Hermione," she added of a pivotal scene that has the evil witch's identity being assumed by Harry's friend in order to gain access to Gringotts Wizarding Bank, which holds Hufflepuff's cup — and a part of Voldemort's soul. "Because Hermione takes polyjuice potion and gets to look like Bellatrix."
After J.K. Rowling wrote the scene in the final "Potter" book, the film series' producers were faced with a difficult question: Was it preferable to use makeup and CGI to make Watson look like Bonham Carter, or have the older actress act like the younger?
"Rather than put Emma Watson in a helluva load of make-up they just said, 'Now you go act like Hermione,' " Bonham Carter said of their decision. "That was fun, because I always wanted to be Hermione."
"It was great fun," she said of the scene. "[I was] looking at Dan [Radcliffe] and Rupert [Grint] and they were treating me as if I was 17." "I can't remember where they are going to cut," she explained, then remembered. "Yeah, [the scene is] definitely in the second one, because all of my stuff is in the second one. So you won't see me until 2011."
She also stated (after Hathaway asked), that the actors (she as well) got to choose their own wands. Said "It's a right of passage." And then laughed on about how they then keep all the wands under lock & key as if they really worked. Said no one's allowed off-set with one. You can see her talking bout it on video HERE.
**There's also a piece (short and sweet) that Helen did for The Dishrag

Midlands MCM Expo with Matthew Lewis & Warwick Davis Fans have put up video via You Tube of the HP actors Q&A recently. You can catch it by simply clicking below:
Amongst the different things said, some notable things are listed below: *Matt stated that most of Deathly Hallows: Part I is near completion, and that they are finishing up on the final battle sequences with "Voldemort and the Death Eaters" at the present time. *Matt says Neville gained insight from Harry in becoming a leader in The Deathly Hallows, and running a resistance. *When Matt was about 9-10 years old, he said he used to dress up as Harry Potter at home. *Matt said his favorite movie to film was Order of the Phoenix, because Neville had more responsibility and there was more emotion, as well as the action, where he "felt like Tom Cruise." Both stated that The Deathly Hallows might eclipse the previous films. *Matt said that as long as he's doing Harry Potter, he doesn't have to grow up yet. He can be a big kid and still do proper work. *Warwick said that he gets most of his information about Flitwick from fans, as there isn't much revealed in the books or even the film scripts. *Matt said that Neville would be a badger Animagi; while Warwick claimed that Flitwick would be a gerbil. *Matt and Warwick said that the worst thing about filming the series is getting up early, but otherwise there isn't much to complain about (the food and people are great, stated Warwick). *Warwick said that he hasn't gotten any souvenirs from the Harry Potter set, but his daughter received a Gringotts coin from Sorcerer's Stone from one of the producers; Matt said that he got to keep the Gryffindor sword he broke in Deathly Hallows (while filming a sequence by accident), as well as set of fake ears and teeth he wore in the earlier films. *Warwick's favourite spell is Wingardium Leviosa; Matt's are Expelliarmus and Stupefy.

Deathly Hallows Set Interview BBC Radio 2's Century of Cinema with Puttnam and Sibley was able to get an exclusive on-set visit to Hogwarts and will be giving us a report from the upcoming Harry Potter film. It will air tomorrow evening at 10:30pm (GMT). Guests will include Davind Heyman, Production Designer Stuart Craig, and Creature & Make-Up Effects Designer Nick Dudman. Also, as a note, Robert Redford will be on in this airing; speaking about Indie films.
Images From BAFTA Ok, so the Potter films didn't fare too well at the Film Awards, but at least there's lots of great pics to be found from the event. Pay no mind that most are of either Jamie Campbell-Bower or Jason Isaacs. We're an equal opportunity fansite, and love all the actors and actresses. Just some perhaps more than others.;) To view a gallery of the images, go HERE.

Olivander's Wand Shop Screamscapes updates about the inner workings of the upcoming Olivander's Wand Shop in Universal Studios. They claimed the following: I’m told that over 20 actors have been hired to act as the shop keepers, and have been told that they will be given a “wand bible” written up by JK Rowling to memorize, detailing the names and descriptions of around 400 different wands.I’ve been told that the various wands up for sale will range in price from $25 up to $150 per wand. Apparently the more expensive your wand… the more things it will actually be able to do. On the downside of things however, due to the entire land being created just as seen in the movies and to JK Rowling's specifications, the shops are indeed as small as they look. I’ve heard that Universal is already planning on setting up small queues outside many of the most popular stores to help control overcrowding issues. It seems some of the first costumes have been put on display at Universal’s wardrobe facility and they are said to be quite detailed and impressive. Amongst the costumes on display were those for “Hogwarts Students” as well as the “Dragon Handlers”, which is what they are calling the ride ops on Dragon’s Challenge. Apparently the costumes were all made to JK Rowling’s specs… though one insider has already commented that JK must have never visited Orlando in the summer, because some of the outfits may end up being a bit too much to handle in the hot muggy summers.
Now as Universal Studios has already said there will be only 13 types of wands to choose from, it's believed that the '400 different wands' really means 400 points to memorize. Everything in WandLore.
Screamscape also had this to say the other day: Emails have been going out to the world from Universal Orlando this week promoting all new Harry Potter themed vacation package specials. These packages include early park admission, a special breakfast at the Three Broomsticks, a commemorative Grand Opening Ticket to the Wizarding World and more. The real hot news item here however is that these packages are not available until May 28th. So far this seems to lock the start of Memorial Day Weekend as the official Grand Opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Of course… this still doesn’t mean that we wont see a soft opening of the land or various attractions, possibly opening in phases between Spring Break and late May.

Snape's Death In an interview with the Telegraph, Harry Potter production designer Stuart Craig, speaks Potter, including his teary viewing of Snape's Death Scene.
"The last time I cried was a few days ago when we filmed the death of Alan Rickman's character, Snape. It's quite difficult to cry in rushes -- where we watch the previous day's work -- but he is an extraordinary actor and he dies an extremely good death."
Congrats to our Darker Potter actors In a recent list published by AOL Moviefone, we're given 'Hollywood's 10 Most Evil Actors'. On that list? None other than Jason Isaacs, Alan Rickman and Gary Oldman. The top of the list, is Alan Rickman. "Maybe it's the deep and imposing voice, or because he's got a mean sneer, but Rickman is always game to play a nasty character. He has memorably depicted the slimy and seemingly-traitorous Severus Snape in the 'Harry Potter' films, the greedy and perverted Judge Turpin in 'Sweeney Todd' and terrorist Hans Gruber in the original 'Die Hard.' We love Rickman when he's good, but when he's bad, he's irresistible."
Coming in at #6 is Jason Isaacs. "The steely-eyed Brit's standout performance as the sadistic Redcoat who kills Mel Gibson's sons in 'The Patriot' set the tone for his popularity as Voldemort's deliciously evil Death Eater -- with awesome hair -- Lucius Malfoy in the 'Harry Potter' series."
And last, but not least, Gary Oldman makes it in at #10. "Oldman is so good at being bad, even his "good" roles are a bit on the dark side, like Harry Potter's godfather Sirius Black or Gotham police captain Jim Gordon."
Many congrats to all three cast members!!

New Rowling Interview Harryahistory got in an interview with Rowling. Below you can read an excerpt. I wanted to ask you about that, because Grindelwald resembles - the golden curls, the first person I thought of was Lucifer. JKR: "I think it makes Dumbledore a little less culpable. I see him as fundamentally a very intellectual, brilliant and precocious person whose emotional life was absolutely subjugated to the life of the mind - by his choice - and then his first foray into the world of emotion is catastrophic and I think that would forevermore stun that part of his life and leave it stultified and he would be, what he becomes. That's what I saw as Dumbledore's past. That's always what I saw was in his past. And he keeps a distance between himself and others through humour, a certain detachment and a frivolity of manner.
But he's also isolated by his brain. He's isolated by the fact he knows so much, guesses so much, guesses correctly. He has to play his cards close to his chest because he doesn't want Voldemort to know what he suspects."
According to Get Bracknell filming will take place in Swinley Forest.
Gordon Thom, of London Taxi Tour, said: “I’ve been down there and there’s a wooden village they’ve built there.
“We know that the chap who plays Neville Longshanks will be down there this week but it’s likely they’ll only be filming at night.”
Another way to get a glimpse of the stars could be to pop in for a drink at the Golden Retriever pub in Nine Mile Ride.
Team leader Vicki Hicks said: “We haven’t had any of the stars come in yet but we’ve had a few of the extras and people working on the film come in so we’re hoping they’ll come in at some point.”

Dan and Emma on location again?
Although we were told by one of our contacts that filming in Swinley Forest, Bracknell doesn't begin until wc: Monday 22nd, its reported, via the Daily Mail newspaper that Emma and Daniel have been seen out and about during 'breaks' in shooting Scenes from the Deathly Hallows at a local pub. Chances are its a rumour, but for anyone local who wants to pop along to the Forest and see whatever you can (from behind barriers no-doubt if the Actors are present) then follow the signs to Swinley Forest and 'The Look Out' and you never know! If you can't get there, the excellent London Taxi Tours took a few photos of one of the sets being prepared last week. 'Privet Drive' (or the house which was used) is just a 5 minutes drive from the Forest for anyone travelling to the area if you've never been. Just pop Picket Post Close, Martin's Heron, Bracknell in your Sat-Nav!
Whilst looking up this article on-line I also came across a funny story on my local newspapers web-site from the July '09 Swinley Forest filming (HP4U exclusive report and pictures in archives) which it seems was missed everywhere, enjoy!
