Deathly Hallows Tops Best Book Lists, Rowling Named Top Briton

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been named 'Best Book of the Year 2007' by Newsweek Magazine, and was ranked eight on Time magazine's 50 Top Ten year end list in the 'Best Fiction Book' category.

And Harry Potter's real 'mother', author J.K. Rowling, is not doing too badly either since she has been nominated for the Morgan Stanley Great Briton 2007 award in the Arts category. According to this article in the Telegraph, the judges described Rowling's "unprecedented global reach" as phenomenal... and we certainly agree with that statement!
