Amazon.com has just launched an interesting new contest. Nine winners (under the age of 18), will be selected to receive a free Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows from between 12:01am and 2:00am local time on July 21, 2007
The selected nine, will also receive a prize package to go along with it, this listed:
• A collection of other Harry Potter-related products selected by Sponsor delivered at the same time as the book [ARV of approximately $450.00].

First off, as said, you must be under 18 yrs of age and also be a resident of the United States. If you fit the bill, be sure to enter by writing UP TO a 300 word essay about your favorite Harry Potter character.
This contest goes on from now till June 27th, OR, when 1,000 entries have been gathered by Amazon.com (guess there's only so many they can read).
The nine essays will be selected as follows, three from each of the following age groups:
6-8; 9-12; 13-17, provided there are a sufficient number of entries, and each will be notified no later than July 6, 2007.

Shy away from using anyone's REAL name in your essay that is not one of the HP characters, as there are strict guidelines against this:
Any person featured whose real and actual name and/or likeness is used, outside of a Harry Potter character, in any essay submitted (or parent or legal guardian if such person is a minor) must have provided his/her consent to entrant for the submission of his/her named used in the entrant's essay in the Adventure. By entering the Adventure, entrants represent that they have received this consent. Failure to obtain such consent will deem the entry ineligible.
