Huge Marketing Campaign Planned for Book Seven Launch in the U.S.

Scholastic, the U.S. publisher of the Harry Potter books, has just unveiled its marketing campaign for the release of the last book in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. According to this morning's press release, the campaign will run from April 17 through July 7 and include a huge host of activities such as a National Knight Bus Tour, a 7 Questions of Harry Potter campaign, daily polls and various retail promotions.

Scholastic also announced that there will be a record-breaking first printing of 12 million copies of the book in the U.S., edging out Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince that had an initial run of 10.8 million copies in the U.S.
