Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Named Book of the Year

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, 6th book in the magical series written by JK Rowling, has just been named Book of the Year
at the British Book Awards. Rowling attended the Awards ceremony, which took place at Grosvenor House in London today. These awards, also known as the 'Nibbies', recognize bestsellers rather than critics' favourites.

Rowling is quoted as saying that she is "delighted that Harry Potter continues to give so much pleasure to adults and children". She added that she is "honoured to receive this award" and that she is "enjoying writing the last book in the series and it's coming along nicely."
