'Goblet' Smashes UK Box Office Records

Channel 4 News has reported record takings in the UK for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire over the first weekend, and four broken box office records!!

They say that: "The movie has taken a whopping £15 million in Britain knocking Star Wars off the top spot for box office takings on a three day weekend.

The Goblet Of Fire broke records for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with around £5 million being taken each day.

JK Rowling's boy wizard has shattered the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith record which took over £10.5 million in it's opening weekend.

The latest Potter film also walks all over the previous three movies. The Philosopher's Stone took £9.5 million, The Chamber of Secrets £10.3 million and The Prisoner of Azkaban £9.5 million."
