Potter Summer Camps
Summer is here, and for Americans, it means three months of NO school. But are your parents and siblings torturing you already? Well, if you live in either Louisiana, New York, or Pennsylvania, they may be a short reprieve, and it's HP related to boot!
How? Each state has within, a Harry Potter-type science camp. This is a brief piece from Newsweek on each:

The Sci-Port Discovery Center in Shreveport, La. ($70; sci-port.org) is holding weeklong camps based on the fourth book's Triwizard Tournament. At a book-release party, students take classes on plant science and learn how to care for owls.
Infotonics Tech Center in Canandaigua, N.Y., offers seven weeklong sessions ($225; infotonics.org). Counselors wear wizard outfits and students learn about physics in the Hogwarts world, with experiments comparing a rocket launch to that of a topnotch broomstick. Ready for takeoff?
Pennsylvania State University offers three one-week programs (starting at $295; sciencecamps.psu.edu). Students learn about nanotechnology and mineralogy.

Each are still accepting applications, but probably not for very long after this is out. So if you're looking for something fun to do, be sure to drop by their websites for more information.
