Lucky Ohio residents
For those living in the States (United), in the Ohio region, there are Several things happening and set up for the celebration of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Princes' arrival. These events are set up for both July 15th and July 16th. Please read below to find out what's happening:
Harry Potter Events
Peninsula will become the Enchanted Village for Harry Potter Fest, with train rides on the Wizard Express, costume contests, a lecture series, a feast, a dance, an awards ceremony and more. July 15-16. Call the Blue Heron Bookstore at 330-657-2575.
Downtown Hudson will be home for a Harry Potter Extravaganza with magic and bird shows, a parade of lanterns, magic-wand making, quill-writing class and Potter-themed food. July 15-16. Park at the Acme Plaza on state Route 303 and at Hudson Middle School on Oviatt Street. Call the Learned Owl at 330-653-2252.
Akron-Summit County Main Library, 60 S. High St., will host magician David McCarthy at 7 p.m. July 7. 330-643-9000.
Mogadore Library, 144 S. Cleveland Ave., Mogadore, will have games and Potter quizzes from 1 to 3 p.m. July 16 with prizes for those in costume. 330-628-9228.
Odom Boulevard Branch Library, 600 Vernon Odom Blvd., Akron, will have a magic-wand design activity from 6 to 7 p.m. July 12. 330-434-8726.
Borders Books & Music, 335 Howe Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, will hold a carnival with games and face painting from 8 p.m. to midnight July 15, and party from 1 to 4 p.m. July 16. Sponsored by Project: LEARN. 330-945-7683.
