Ever dream of living near a famous movie star, politicians, or even a famous author? Well a home was just placed up for sale that would make J.K. Rowling your neighbor. A three-bedroom property has been put on the market just yards away from the millionaire author’s home in Merchiston.
The area is also home to Transport and Scottish Secretary Alistair Darling and novelist Ian Rankin.
However, Rowling has created controversy with neighbours in the past over privacy issues at her mansion.
Earlier this year, neighbours expressed anger after the author revealed plans to surround her home with CCTV cameras.
Ms Rowling was only given approval after making assurances that the cameras would not look on to neighbouring houses. Two years ago, she had an 8ft wall built around her home and electric gates installed.
