HP Book V to be British Book Award Contender
The 15th Annual British Book Awards
will take place on the 7th April and will be televised by Channel 4 on Good Friday, the 9th April between 5-6pm to what is expected to be the biggest audience ever to watch a book programme.
And this year their's major competition. Up for the vote, are the following:
The Butler & Tanner Book of the Year
Brick Lane Monica Ali (Doubleday)
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Mark Haddon (David Fickling / Jonathan Cape)
Eats, Shoots and Leaves Lynne Truss (Profile)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix J K Rowling (Bloomsbury)
The Lovely Bones Alice Sebold (Picador)
My Side David Beckham (CollinsWillow)
The No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency Alexander McCall Smith (Abacus)
A Royal Duty Paul Burrell (Michael Joseph)

Previously, J.K. Rowling has won for Author of the year, back in 1999. Here's to hoping for another win for our favorite author!
