A Plaque in J.K. and Harry's Honor
A plaque featuring a photo of author JK Rowling is to be placed on the side of a Chinese restaurant on Nicolson Street in Edinburgh. The restaurant was formerly the coffee shop where J. K. Rowling went to work on her now world famous book series while still a struggling single mother, as she couldn't afford to heat her flat.
Once up, the plaque will read: "JK Rowling wrote some of the early chapters of Harry Potter in the rooms on the first floor of this building."
