David Heyman Talks Deathly Hallows Split

In a new interview with MuggleCast, producer David Heyman discussed the splitting of Deathly Hallows and an added scene! Listen to the full episode, with more great stuff from David, by going here or read the part about Deathly Hallows below.

The script [for Part 1] was written with an end in mind. The first draft was written with one ending and as we developed it, it went to another ending. And then we reverted in part to the original ending because we felt it allowed us a more emotional conclusion and felt like it was more complete, as it were. But we’ve added this other scene which I think is really amazing – and I can’t tell you where the break is, I’m sorry – but I do feel it will be incredibly dramatic, very moving and make people want to watch the next film.

Tom Felton Talks Ralph Fiennes and Jason Isaacs

In another new interview with Tom Felton, he discusses Ralph Fiennes and Jason Isaacs in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

He said: “I’ve never worked with Ralph one-on-one [until recently], Alan Rickman was there and several dark presences so it was very daunting and there are some horrifically evil speeches. There’s a lot to look forward to, definitely.”

The actor said working with some of Britain’s finest actors had been a privilege. “There are some scenes where literally three of the four people there have been knighted which is bizarre,” he laughed. “There are a few times when you’ve got to pinch yourself to stay in character, you learn stuff from them without even realising it I think. It’s a huge honour” he said.

Despite filming now being over, Tom said he’d definitely be keeping in touch with his on-screen dad Jason Isaacs who plays Lucius Malfoy. “Jason is a legend. He is like another father to me in the acting world, he’s keen to hear about future projects and he’s kind of been one of the adults who has never been afraid to say ‘why don’t you try this, why don’t you try that’ and as far as being a young actor goes he’s been extremely helpful so I have a lot to thank Jason for definitely,” he said.

New Information on Leavesden Studios Fan Attraction

The Times has a new article where it talks about what WB will be doing with Leavesden Studios.

As the final two films of JK Rowling’s series approach completion, a new “Hogwarts experience” is to open in the studios where they are made. The visitor attraction will include recreations of some of the boy wizard’s haunts, including the Hogwarts school hall and Albus Dumbledore’s study. The plans, part of an expansion of Leavesden, the Warner Bros studio in Hertfordshire, are Britain’s answer to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, a 20-acre attraction at the Universal resort in Orlando, Florida, due to open this Friday.Although the Leavesden site will not be as large and will consciously not be a theme park, it will provide fans with the real costumes and sets used in the films. There will be replicas of characters, as well as clothes worn by Hermione Granger, played by Emma Watson, Voldemort, Rubeus Hagrid, Professor Filius Flitwick and the Weasley family.
